One of the most exciting things about StopScandal.Com is how it appeals to all types of audience members because it incorporates many different genres of music. From the soul version of "We Can Do This" to the 1930's-styled "Alpha Male" and then to "Couch Potato," a hoe-down country piece, the audience can relate to the music.... Yo bro, where's the fun, must be in THAT place called Washington. Come be enRAPtured by Osbourn Park High School's premiere performance of StopScandal.Com, an original play written by Washington's own home boy, William Strauss, with music by Bo Ayars and Steven Rosenhaus. Take the immortal Jimmy Stewart's Mr. Smith Goes to Washington and mix it with a dash of modern technology, a pinch of current events and a full cup of attitude; and you've got StopScandal.Com.... Travis Tucker's prodigious singing and dance talents are amply displayed.... Mike Reda is very believable.... Jeff Muntt is villainous and vulnerable, stern yet contrastingly gentle, a complex character.... Valerie Sprague's characterization and very spirited vocalizations are the thread that binds this play together.... Aimee Bayles combines a beautiful voice with an angelic countenance to capture the audience's heart.... Oz Hinton-Lee is a true delight and anchor of the show.... In a brilliant display of thespian skill, Meredith DAversa uses classic stage technique, combined with the persnickety idealism of a modern teenager, to project her performance directly into the laps of the audience.... Rebekah Bayles and Sara Tomko are often the centerpiece of the show, lending direction and steam; with their Cruella-style portrayals.... Every performer lives up to the adage that there are no small parts, executing roles with enthusiasm and vitality as if they are each the lead. Samantha Sturm's high kicks would have made Fred Astaire proud, and Natalie Foley and Kristen Dawson gave animated characterizations as panjandrums of the political commercial.... This avant-garde script, combined with a cast whose talent can only be described as phenomenal, make this production a must see.

StopScandal.Com is everything its name suggests.... as modernistic as the lingo we speak and the clothes we wear. This contemporary "Musical for The New Millennium" hears the cry of a generation-the cry for a musical that is all our own.... The expressions of the millennium generation may include saying "like" twenty times in a sentence and sometimes having pants sag below our knees. This is what makes our generation original. Bill Strauss, famous for his political satire, combines politics, music, and the twenty-first century in StopScandal.Com.. There is no Fosse, no Bernstein, no Lerner and Lowe here. Everything is novel and new.... Travis Tucker's sweet voice carries mellifluously through the audiences' ears, truly catching eyes and hearts as he sings, each note strong yet soft, a serenade with beautiful pitch and tone. His professionalism is imprinted on the stage, even as he keeps his teenage flare, making him shine.... Innovation and creativity surround many of "Stopscandal.com" musical numbers. Dressed in khakis and button-up shirts, reminiscent of the Gap commercials, an upbeat mood begins to surface.... Mike Reda's voice is just as marvelous as Travis's. They each sing with precise tone and spectacular tune, each note perfectly matching the others. Travis Tucker, Mike Reda and Meredith D'Aversa are a trio of talent who used great tune, tone, diction, and rhythm, as they follow the beat of a generation.... Meredith D'Aversa has a wonderfully beautiful voice, sings with personality and expression, and shows great talent in her portrayal of a cute yet distant daughter.... Jeff Muntt plays a sinister congressman with great quality of character, singing "Keep the Old Typewriter" with a majestic tone.... The diabolical duo of Rebekah Bayles and Sara Tomko prove themselves the Lucy and Ethel of the dark side, with swings of hips and mischievous smiles.... Sara Tomko struts her stuff across the stage with an almost lounge singer quality to her low and playful voice.... Rebekah Bayles complements Sara beautifully with her soft and melodious voice.... Aimee Bayles portrays innocence with such an ingenuousness that it a wonder why teachers are sometimes portrayed as wicked. Her crescendo of allure was sung so gracefully and masterfully, each of her notes ringing with purity. Oz Hinton-Lee makes a complete transformation from the dark side, with his surely a voice to remember..... Scoop Jones had wonderful stage presence and a mind full of mischievous plots.... The voices of Osbourn Park are magnificent. They ring a familiar tune as the voice of a new generation.
-- Tracey Vaccarella, Hayfield Secondary School

StopScandal.Com is a modern, down-to-earth musical.... an exciting show. There was especially good chemistry between Libby (Sara Tomko), a liberal lobbyist, and Conny (Rebekah Bayles), a conservative lobbyist.... The leads in the songs were strong and magnificent.... Scenery was very creative.... Great audience interaction.... StopScandal.Com was a zestful look into politics employing the traditional conflicts between teenagers and adults.
-- Raul Bilecky, Duke Ellington School of the Arts
The Osbourn Park Players represented the finest of high school theater in their workshop production of StopScandal.com.
-- Kitt Anderson, Hayfield Secondary School
Osbourn Park has an incredible amount of vocal talent, as well as acting ability. Meredith D'Aversa wholly displays the oxymoron of the intelligent valley-girl, Molly. Because of her mannerisms and interpretations of the lines, it becomes hard to believe that D'Aversa really isn't as ditzy as her character. With a rich alto tone, Sara Tomko depicts the villainy of Libby flawlessly. Tomko and Rebecca Bayles, who plays Conny, have great chemistry together onstage.... The students at Osbourn Park High School illustrated the themes of honesty and idealism well and influenced the audience to want to go out and change the world.
-- Katy Hershberger, Park View High School
