Robert Wilson - Teacher, Director, Producer, Videographer
Mr. Wilson began his life in community theatre as Winnie the Pooh at seven years of age, and also appeared in Flower Drum Song. In high school, he premeired Lousia County (Virginia) High School's first musical, playing Harry the Horse in Guys and Dolls. He also performed as Hortensio in Taming of the Shrew at Shakespeare at the Ruins. Mr. Wilson worked as an extra and stand-in for the film Toy Soldiers. He attended college at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. At VCU, he fell into working on sets every season, his best being the last one he did, Little Shop of Horrors. Mr. Wilson got involved with the Dramatic Arts program for at-risk kids and decided to take some education courses. Before finishing his BFA in Theatre Education at VCU, he also worked for Theatre IV. Migrating to the yankee north (Manassas) in 1998, he began work at Osbourn Park High School directing The Mousetrap. While here, he has also worked in various capacities on Guys and Dolls, A Midsummer Night's Scream, and My Fair Lady. The next OPP production is the world premiere of the musical stopscandal.com which opens in January, 2001. In addition to Drama, Mr. Wilson also teaches Television Production classes.
